Andrew Fowler-Watt was born and educated in the UK. He won scholarships to Eton and Cambridge, where he studied English and was a Choral Scholar at St John’s College.
When he left Cambridge, he taught in leading British Independent Schools for 25 years, as English teacher, Sports Coach, Director of Drama, Housemaster and Headmaster. Throughout this time, he also sang professionally, both in the UK and internationally. He performed with some of the world’s leading orchestras and choirs, as well as in iconic cathedrals and concert halls including Notre Dame, Carnegie Hall, Seville Cathedral and the Sydney Opera House.
In 2007, Andrew and his wife, Viv, decided to move overseas to become part of the growing Internationalisation of the British Education system. After 4 years in Sri Lanka, as Principal of Colombo International School and The British School, he moved to Brunei to become Principal of Jerudong International School, Brunei.
In January 2016, he was delighted to move back to Sri Lanka, where he has become Principal of Trinity College, Kandy.
